Strumpshaw Neighbourhood Plan Referendum – Official Result

The Parish Council is pleased to share the official result of the Strumpshaw Neighbourhood Plan Referendum, held on 7 May 2026.

Residents were asked:

“Do you want Broadland District Council and the Broads Authority to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Strumpshaw to help them decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”

Result

  • YES: 299 votes (86.92%)
  • NO: 41 votes (11.92%)
  • Rejected papers: 4
  • Total votes cast: 344
  • Electorate: 573
  • Turnout: 60.03%

As more than half of those voting supported the Plan, the Strumpshaw Neighbourhood Plan is now approved and will be used by Broadland District Council and the Broads Authority when determining planning applications in our parish.
