Strumpshaw Parish Council has published its Notice of Public Rights and Publication of the Unaudited Annual Governance & Accountability Return (AGAR) for the financial year ending 31 March 2026.
This statutory notice is issued under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 (Sections 26 and 27) and The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/234).
Public Inspection Period
Residents and any interested persons have the legal right to inspect the Council’s accounting records and supporting documents for the 2025/26 financial year.
The inspection period will run from:
Wednesday 3 June 2026 to Tuesday 14 July 2026
During this time, the following documents will be available for inspection on reasonable notice:
- Accounting records for the year ended 31 March 2026
- Books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts
- Any other documents relating to the Council’s accounts

About the AGAR
The unaudited Annual Governance and Accountability Return has been published alongside this notice. It has not yet been reviewed by the external auditor appointed by Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd and may be subject to change following that review.
