Broadland District Council is responsible for bins, elections, planning and neighbourhood issues including anti-social behaviour Norfolk County Council is responsible for recycling centres, education and learning, libraries, roads and transport and public rights of way
Allotments
The parish council has six allotments at the community hall site on Mill Road and operates a waiting list for residents wishing to rent a plot.

Community Hall
Strumpshaw Community Hall was created as a result of the 2014 Strumpshaw Neighbourhood Plan. The land-owner, Crabtree Living Ltd., gave the site for the Community Hall and allotments to the Parish Council as part of a planning agreement for the houses on Mill Meadow. Crabtree Living Ltd. built most of the Community Hall at their expense. The Parish Council completed the planned building and then furnished and equipped it.
Strumpshaw Community Hall is a new purpose-built facility for the benefit of the community. Every week there are art & music classes, exercises classes (yoga, pilates, tai chi) and Strumpshaw Brownies meet at the hall..
The hall is also available for hire; with tables, chairs and integral projector and sound system it is suitable for meetings, both business and local interest groups. The hall also has a well-equipped kitchen which makes it suitable for hiring for christenings, family parties, baby showers etc.
Additionally, the Community Hall Committee regularly run events to which the community are invited.
